update- yup- this place still makes one of the best deli sandwiches in the Sac area. Their corti special consist of a variety of cold cuts, mayo/mustard, lettuce, onions, peppers, and choice of cheese - Still under $10 (actually $8.49) for this bad boy. beats any of the sandwich chains-and you still support a local business.

I have had Corti Brothers bookmarked for the longest time and come to find that my father-in-law used to shop here when he was younger is super cool! Corti Bros is such a staple to the community and that says a lot for a grocery, deli one stop shop that has been open for years. This family owned and ran business offers so much good stuff. What brought me in was their deli counter. If you're looking for a place with a hunch of great items for a picnic then this is the deli counter for you! Parking might be a headache but once inside and you walk out with your delicious items; you can't stay mad about the madhouse parking situation. Enjoy!

This is hands down my FAVORITE sandwich spot. It's in a grocery store and they have so many options for Sandwhiches. The line does get long so I always put in my order first and then go grocery shopping. They also have really good cake!

The sandwiches at Corti Brothers are not to be beat! Pictured is a build your own sandwich with all the fixings. I've also had the chicken salad which was the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you opt to order in store vs. pre-order online ahead of time but they're well worth it. They also have a great selection of old timey pop you can pair with your selection. While you wait for your sandwich, I recommend trying some of the cheeses from the deli selection and taking home 1-2. They have really amazing selection of high quality cheeses for charcuterie boards. I also usually will grab some of their homemade pasta sauces and ravioli. They always have new goodies that change pretty regularly so it's fun to pop over here to supplement your regular grocery haul from Trader Joe's (or whenever) with a few specialty items (I got a lavender French jam the other day that is ridiculously delicious with lemon honey goat cheese on bread). Today I walked out with the sandwich, homemade raviolis, truffle gnocchi, homemade pesto sauce, and some soft creamy blue cheese I tried at the deli!
